RESEARCH
& DEVELOPMENT
Hydrocore has engaged in research and development that will finalize
the design of the first facility as well as apply the process to
several industrial waste streams.
Separately, Hydrocore has developed a relationship with the National
Transportation Research Corporation (NTRC), a part of the prestigious
Oak Ridge National Laboratory. The NTRC houses advanced transportation
and energy technology programs for both the Oak Ridge National Laboratory
and the University of Tennessee. Battelle Memorial Institute, Peterbilt,
GM and numerous other research institutions, universities and government
agencies invest nearly $300 million in state-of-the-art facilities
and R&D programs. Coal gasification has been an important aspect
of the effort and a joint proposal is being prepared in which the
NTRC and Hydrocore will collaborate to create a unique hybrid process.
Oak Ridge National Laboratory holds the patents to several coal
gasification processes that complement and augment Hydrocore’s.
In addition to the above efforts, Dr. Wolfe continues his research
on Hydrocore’s behalf and contracts in place with Dr. Wolfe
allow Hydrocore to retain all intellectual property rights to research
outcomes.
